Paperweight terms

·Ground - background
·Garland - Canes circling the outer edge
·Frit - ground glass pigment
·Ice pick bubbles - placed by plunging a icepick into the hot glass in forming the piece
·Pick up - lowering the hot glass onto colored frit to pick up the color
·Cane - sticks of colored glass, or slices of those sticks
·Millefiore - Italian term meaning 1000 flowers, to describe the making of floral cane slices into garden like inclusions
